When I first started blending food for breakfast I thought I don’t need any recipes or any inspiration whatsoever. I thought you just blend what you have and something yummy will come up every time. Well guess what. That doesn’t work! Fruit & veggies don’t mix well randomly! 😱😨😱

So for starters, I had to settle down to certain combinations that tasted decent and then scale up my game with great combinations that taste awesome! Yet, smoothies need to be simple sometimes and basic.

So, here is my basic

Drinking smoothies IS A PREVENTIVE MEDICINE TACTIC! (To read more about the 5 colour groups of fruit & veggies go to post: Eat the rainbow over at preventive medicine section.

Now play.

Now you will not get lost ever again. Combine mainly from each categorie & go for tastes that make sense or are familiar too you. For example, ginger, apple, cinnamon, it is a straightforward combo! I find that thick awesome smoothies are the result of frozen bananas and fruit, combined necessarily with a grain for extra protein and nutrients. Also avocados & mangoes, make creamy results! Once you keep this basic structure in mind, you will rock the smoothie game!
